Tathagat Association for Upliftment of the Society was established on 2nd October 1999 with the primary aim of rehabilitating children and individuals with intellectual disabilities. The organization was officially registered with the Government of Maharashtra on 31st December 1999 and has since been actively working in the field of special education and mental disability support.
To achieve its mission, the association started a special school for children with intellectual disabilities in 1999 under the name "Jiwandhara." In 2005, the school was renamed as Adharvel Special School, continuing its commitment to providing holistic education, care, and vocational training to empower every child towards independence and dignity.
Sensing the necessity, the Society decided to take special care of these children by providing psychological assessment and free counseling, special education, and training by expert RCI-registered staff. The school provides a daily mid-day meal, uniforms, notebooks, pens, pencils, and other educational equipment free of cost. The school has also arranged equipment for their regular exercise. The school conducts regular medical health check-up camps in collaboration with government-recognized hospitals. The school also arranges a picnic every year. Students participate in inter-school competitions, as well as district-level and state-level competitions. The school also organizes an annual function program including dance, drama, and other activities.
The school has succeeded in implementing the Disha Abhiyan. Every month, the school arranges parent meetings and provides them with the child’s progress report.
To nurture each student with compassion and dedication, helping them grow into confident, independent individuals. We envision an inclusive society where every person is respected, valued, and given equal opportunities to thrive.
We provide personalized education programs designed according to each child's unique abilities and learning pace. Through structured teaching methods, behavioral assessments, and continuous progress monitoring, we help students build confidence and independence. Our team of trained special educators, therapists, and counselors ensures holistic development.
Our vocational training programs focus on developing practical skills that promote self-reliance. Students are trained in activities such as stitching, handicrafts, basic computer skills, and daily living skills, preparing them for a more independent and productive future.
